Smile Hi Jenny

I forget other people can't sleep, the past few nites have been awful for me.
After cooling myself down, tower fan on I popped my ipod music on quietly on repeat. Its ok until one ear phone pops out when I've turned over and awake enough to scramble around in the dark for the missing earphone!

Sometimes I drift off with one ear phone in not aware of the other falling out! I clip the ipod on front top of my nighty so I don't worry about layin on it!

I wish I could have a massage man on stand by to help me drift off!

Good luck for your appointment.

Jane

Hi all

My MTX has been increased as my DAS score is still pretty high, and now on monthly blood tests sothat will make life a little easier! Also had a lovely painful steroid injection in my thumb base! Been told to rest the next few days, but i don't get sick pay in my job so can't afford too. Does anyone else have similar problems?

Also using a nice new laptop, tesco were very nice to exchange it even though it was out of warranty

BigGrin Hiya

I have not had steriod injection in thumb.
Only steriod injection in my thigh or bum!
My blood is every month - checks for ra inflamation markers and my thyriod junction.

I say, new laptop!
I use my phone a lot, easier to hold.
Asked my hubby if I can have a look at the ipad mini next month see if my fingers can use it, if not I carry on on my phone!

I started back on methtrix friday............roll on a few months!

Sad you don't get sick pay, off off sick - 8 weeks paid, got a sick note, says ra flare, not foot op. This is my first sickness in three years. I don't feel under pressure to return to work, but the phone calls from superviser are the same conversation each week! She does not "get it" or listen.

Take care
Jane

Ipad mini, not heard of that! My phone is to old school for using internet!

I work for a very small private company. If i was to be signed of then i wouldn't still get paid for the first 5 days then stat sick thereafter. The team i work with are understanding, my manager isn't about much as he's a special in th police so i don't really know how much of it he gets!

Two days ive been of now, it will have to be beans on toast next month then! :)

Hi all,

So ive been back from florida for a few days now. I had a great time, and was in a lot less pain! Maybe it was the weather, maybe my body decided to give me a break, or maybe the mxt has started working. But whatever it was im so thankful :) the only problems i had were the flight, i couldn't get of the plane when we arrived - so stiff and swollen, i took that long my luggage was of the carasel when we got to that bit! So at check in on the way home they booked me a wheel chair to get in of the plane, but it never turned up! So i just hung on to my boyfriend and walked weirdly.

But annoyingly the last 2 days i've been in agony, i guess another flare. :( Maybe my doctor will give me a prescription for a holiday? (but minus the long flight!)

Hope everyones doing ok xxx

We went to Florida last march and wonderful it was too!
I know about the plane stiffness
Definately go economy plus
And move about or rub legs etc

The extra room on the way back compared to the way there made a big difference to us

Hi Jen - so glad you had a good time in Florida - you must tell us all about it. Shame about the stiffness on the flight -only solution is to keep moving about, wriggling my feet and hands has become so much part of me that it's almost a nervous tic, I don't notice I'm doing it which must look strange to anyone who doesn't know me.
